For most of us, home is a place of comfort and security. But some are not as fortunate. Home for them can be a place of immense stress and suffering.

As we enter the blessed month of Ramadhan, many of us look forward to spending time with our loved ones, breaking fast, performing ibadah and doing good deeds together. But there are those in crisis who have no choice but to find safety away from home.

This is the harsh reality of our sisters who are victims of domestic violence.

This Ramadhan, let us share our rezeki with our sisters in need.

We ask that you give generously and with all your heart so that we may help provide the basic necessities for our sisters and their children.

May every contribution be rewarded in this blessed month, Insya'allah.


Casa Raudha, founded in 2008, is a crisis shelter for women escaping domestic violence. It provides safe lodging, food and interim financial assistance for them and their children.

At the shelter, they are empowered to make critical decisions about their future such as:

- Applying for Personal Protection Order (PPO)
- Seeking employment
- Keeping their children in school

Casa Raudha is enhancing its services further to offer post-care support. Some victims choose to return to their spouses to give the marriage another chance. Casa Raudha's post-care programs work to build families' resilience and help them overcome marital conflict productively.

Casa Raudha is also ramping up outreach efforts aimed at preventing domestic violence and to educate the community to stand together in saying “NO” to abuse.

With your support, Casa Raudha has helped victims of abuse for over 12 years. Casa Raudha seeks your continued support. The hard truth is that Casa Raudha's annual operating expenses is projected at $1.5m and to carry on with its work, Casa Raudha needs the community's support.
